LedaFlow Slug Capturing® is an application which is dedicated to the analysis of hydrodynamic slugging.
LedaFlow Slug Capturing® is the first commercially available solution to accurately predict hydrodynamic slug behavior without user input. It captures the initiation and growth of waves and hydrodynamic slugs using higher-order numerical methods. The analysis of slugs is facilitated by slug statistics and slug size tools.
In the slug capturing method, the transition from stratified to wavy or slug flow is automatically represented, by resolving the dynamics of wave instabilities using a very fine grid. As a consequence, the method can be used to get more detailed insight than what is possible with the standard unit-cell model, which is based on spatial averaging and a coarse grid.
